Dear friends and colleagues,

We are very pleased to announce that the programme of the final KFG conference is now online. Registration for the conference – both in person and online via zoom – is open until 25 September. We also would like to share the latest publications by KFG Research Fellows and Associate Members with you. And last but not least, we would like to draw your attention to a Call for Applications for a position as Associate Professor in the Study of Religions at the University of Bergen.

And of course the quick reminder for our screening religion tonight: We will be showing the film “Thrust into Heaven” tonight at the Cinémàtheque Leipzig. We look forward to seeing you there and to a lively discussion with the director Jürgen Schaflechner.

Programme of KFG Conference “Eight Years CASHSS ‘Multiple Secularities’ – Outcome and Prospects through the Eyes of our Interlocutors” | 12–14 October

We are pleased to announce the programme for our final conference Eight Years CASHSS "Multiple Secularities" – Outcome and Prospects through the Eyes of our Interlocutors. Between the opening and closing panels, we will have nine panels dedicated to different themes that have emerged over the years, allowing our former and current colleagues and fellows to engage in a lively exchange.

Please register for the conference via multiple-secularities@uni-leipzig.de by 25 September. Most sessions will take place in a hybrid format, on-site and via zoom, please indicate whether you will be attending on-site or online. We look forward to seeing you at the conference.

CfA: Associate Professor in the Study of Religions | University of Bergen

The Department of Archaeology, History, Cultural Studies and Religion (AHKR) at the University of Bergen invites applications for a permanent full-time position as Associate Professor in the Study of Religions. Applicants must have research expertise in religion and aesthetics and/or religion and the media. These fields are interpreted broadly, with a focus on perspectives in the study of religions.
