Update on Covid-19 health protection measuresWe all are happy that the number of coronavirus infections is steadily decreasing. You have also played your part in this – thank you! Leipzig University wants to gradually lift further restrictions, in a responsible manner. The University Hygiene and Infectious Disease Concept is currently being revised and a new version of it is due to come into force on 1 July 2021. We will, of course, keep you informed about this. For the time being, the most important measures we have taken to control the pandemic continue to apply in the workplace, first and foremost keeping our distance and wearing medical face masks. At our offices, testing every two days will remain mandatory and we will continue to provide you with the rapid test kits. We are very happy that many of you are now returning to their offices at KFG. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us. |

„Paradiese” (“Paradises”) at Leipzig OperaLeipzig Opera and its cultural offers are back on stage for you, and our director Monika Wohlrab-Sahr recommends the opera „Paradiese“ (“Paradises”) to us: In four acts it tells the initiation story of a young man named Albert, set against the backdrop of a divided Germany. The setting is the city of Berlin. We’re taken on a journey to West Berlin in the 1970s, to a mythological time on the No-man’s land of the Peacock Island, to the pre-unification theater scene in West Berlin, and to the years after the fall of the Wall. Four female figures represent these four different stages of our journey: Lise, a political science student; Friederike, a dental student; Marie, an actress; and Anna, a young woman from East Berlin. The opera’s language will be German with German supertitles.
Further dates: 10 July | 7 p.m. and 11 July | 6 p.m.
