Further opening of the University Library

Starting on 8 June, it will be possible to study in the various branches of Leipzig University Library again. To comply with social distancing, the number of people permitted to sit down and work at the same time will be reduced. You have to book a desk in advance, reservations can be made from 5 June on.

CfA: PhD Position Comparative Theology

The Chair for Comparative Study of Religions and Interreligious Dialogue at the University of Fribourg is looking for a research assistant (PhD Position) working on Comparative Theology at the intersection of Theology and the Study of Religions.

CfA: PostDoc Area Studies

At the Center for International and Transnational Area Studies (CITAS) at the University of Regensburg a position as a postdoctoral researcher (part-time, TV-L E13) is to be filled starting 1 September. The position is limited to 12 months and serves to develop an application for funding for a postdoctoral or habilitation project carried out at the University of Regensburg.

The newly established DFG funded research group „Catholicism in the Federal Republic of Germany. Semantics, Practices and Emotions in West German Society. 1965-1989/90” is located at different Universities in Germany and is currently looking for researchers for two projects:

Project on “Catholicism in the 1970s and 1980s: With the Green Party or against the Green Party?”

Re-opening of the Theatre and Gewandhaus in Leipzig

The theatre Schauspiel is re-opening its doors on 12 June and will show three plays which premier in June and July. This weekend, the Gewandhaus will start its Summer Festival and will present one-hour concerts each weekend until 12 July. 

According to current information, the opera will remain closed until September, but will continue to offer an online programme with performance videos and the fermet podcast.
