Farewell Mohammad MagoutThis October we say farewell to our Senior Researcher Mohammad Magout. He has taken up a new position as a Postdoctoral Visiting Fellow at the Orient-Institut Beirut. He will continue there his research on the discourse on “religion” in the Arabic press in the 19th century.

61st International Leipzig Festival for Documentary and Animated FilmFrom 29 October to 4 November, this film festival will show 306 documentaries and animated films from 50 different countries. Many screening will be in English or at least with English subtitles. Screenings will take place at cinemas and special locations all over the city. There will be also public, free screenings at Leipzig main station. Do not miss!
