Farewell Mohammad Magout

This October we say farewell to our Senior Researcher Mohammad Magout. He has taken up a new position as a Postdoctoral Visiting Fellow at the Orient-Institut Beirut. He will continue there his research on the discourse on “religion” in the Arabic press in the 19th century.

Invitation for Discussion

Our Senior Research Fellow Bjørn Ola Tafjord invites all who are interested to discuss with him the book Ekklesia: Three Inquiries in Church and State by Paul Johnson, Pamela Klassen, and Winnifred Sullivan (Chicago UP 2018) – especially the short introduction. He suggests an informal setting, for example over beers in a bar... Bjørn Ola is only here until 31 October, so if you are interested do not hesitate to contact him quickly.
