Worldviews in World View: Particularizing Secularism, Secularity and Nonreligion

Mohammad Magout, Florian Zemmin, and Sushmita Nath will present papers at the Conference on Worldviews in World View: Particularizing Secularism,  Secularity and Nonreligion on 5 and 6 July 2018 at King's College in London.


Mohammad will present his research on The Role of the Press in the Evolution of Secularism in the The Case of al-Jinān (1870-1886) in the panel on Media, old and new


Florian contributes to the panel on Religious tradition and the secular with a paper on Islam as Religion and Secularity: Expressing a modern conceptual distinction from within a discursive tradition.

Our former Junior Research Fellow Sushmita Nath will give a presentation on A Secular Age in Modern India? Jawaharlal Nehru and the Question of Indian Secularity in the panel on Governance and state power.
